Graph differences
« on: January 12, 2015, 11:02:35 PM »
Hi,

I show three graphs on my website which are exactly defined the same with the only difference of the period length. Over last weekend the highest measured wind gust was 47 km/h. It was clearly visible in the 24h graph and is also visible in the last 7 days graph. However, the last 28 days graph does not show the peak. Am I doing something wrong or is there any other explanation?

Ralf.

Up to 7 days, the graphs are plotted at full resolution - i.e. every sample, beyond that the resolution drops off, so what you're seeing here is the full resolution up to 7 days and after that lower resolution. However, for some data types (peaky data like wind gust or rain rate), they should be boxed into a single pixel width (that is all the samples for a given period are sampled into 1 pixel width on the screen - whatever the time period of 1 pixel is) so you should still be seeing the max gust  - looks like a bug to me. I'll raise it as one for further investigation.
