Wunderstation ipad app and WeatherCat
« on: January 20, 2015, 06:07:44 PM »
The iPad app, Wunderstation is a really neat app that allows you to quickly view Underground stations, including your own. It has a place for indoor temp and humidity for your own home station as long as you're logged in. But, I"ve never been able to get this to work. Below is a copy of the correspondence between me and William, the developer. He mentions that WeatherCat does not yet transmit this info but will via a future update. What's up with that?
Thanks.

WeatherCat doesn't currently transmit indoor temperature, but from my understanding, the developers will add that feature in an update.

I use a Davis VantageVue station with Weather Cat 2 software. My Wunderground station is KNASHEV25. Several other folks have mentioned on the WeatherCat forum about having the same problem.

I really like the iPad app and being able to monitor my internal conditions remotely really appeals.

Thanks for your efforts.

Indoor temp and humidity does not work, even though I am signed in.

I think I remember correctly, Stu mentioned in a post in one of the other threads herein, that internal conditions data will be included in the next update of WeatherCat.

Les, do you mean 3.0 or 2.x?

Based on Stu's post...
WeatherCat sends everything fitted to your station except internal temperature and humidity. I'll add this in the next release.

I would think internal temperature and humidity is going to be added in coming release of WC 2. Perhaps he will confirm that.

Yep, should be in V2.1.

I'm not quite sure when that's going to ship - let me take a look at the work left to do and if it's looking like it'll be a while yet, I'll put out a 2.03 test build with the required changes to send the internal temp and hum to Wunderground.
