Hi WeatherCat fans
Is any one running a VP2 cable weather station?
I found a good buy on a cabled unit new or should i spent a hundred and 40 bucks more for a wireless?
Thanks
Randall

Hi Randall
Both work very well
Now it is easier to install the wireless ; pass the cable that connects the console to the iss can impose a lot of work
the advantage of the wireless version is that you can have multiple consoles, a weather envoy , that you can put wherever you want
for me +1 for the wireless version
cheers

Hi Randall, Jean, and WeatherCat fans,

Jean has hit the nail on the head. The wireless version is more versatile, but they function identically and have equal accuracy.
It really boils down to whether or not you can easily run a cable between the ISS and the console. If you can find a way to do that without too much Do-It-Yourself misery, then hey, saving (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/dollar.gif) is always a good thing!!

I've run both, no difference with regard to update rate/accuracy. The thing that caused me to get the wireless version was the extra sensors you can add.
Don't forget you'll also need to budget for a logger :-[
