Title: Soil Temp Sensor Question...
Post by: jg on February 08, 2013, 04:40:58 PM
I'm considering getting two leaf/soil probe stations, primarily because the labor to get the wire to the second location would be greater than the cost of just getting it and hiding it in an out of the way spot.

Can WC handle two different stations in addition to the ISS?

It is moot whether WeatherCat can handle two soil stations, because the Davis Console/Envoy can't. I bought a used second station to use as a remote temp sender, and then found that the receiver can't accept the second station.

Sorry,
Steve

That stinks.  I guess I'll be doing a lot of trenching.  Not sure if it is worth it to use conduit.

I'd use conduit just in case a sensor fails. Then you can just pull the new on through when pulling the old one out.
