Title: Add Floater as an HTML tag
Post by: Steve on January 05, 2013, 11:39:48 PM
Stu,

On my desktop, I have my webcam window and drag the WeatehrCat Floater window over the bottom corner. I occasionally take a screen shot of these overlapped window for Facebook, Twitter, or to email or post elsewhere. A couple of times now I've had questions on how I got the sky conditions image and temp on my webcam image. I got to thinking that might be an interesting html tag to add to WeatherCat. I realize we'd have to upload the various graphics to the web space, but that shouldn't be a problem for most users.

Just a thought,
Steve

Added to the to-do list, thanks for the suggestion Steve.

Thanks for considering it! Here was a comment from my image on Facebook yesterday. Interestingly, it was bright sun, but the VP2 sent WeatherCat whatever code for cloudy. :)

Sounds like it might be a good option to be able to overlay the floater on the cam image? It'd have to be user positionable, and possibly scaled depending on the image size.

That sounds like a lot of work. I was just thinking an HTML tag so we could put it anywhere on a web page, including overlap if so desired. (I used to know how to do that with image mapping, but haven't for years. I'd have to read up on how again.)
