Interesting weather about to hit the UK over the next 7 days - http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74751-model-output-discussion-12z-18102012/ (http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74751-model-output-discussion-12z-18102012/)
Anyone want to stick their neck out and forecast snow over the next week? [biggrin]
[Edit: That's a big thread running from the 18th - here's a link to posts that are more up to date: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74751-model-output-discussion-12z-18102012/page__st__700 (http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/74751-model-output-discussion-12z-18102012/page__st__700) ]

Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,
Interesting weather about to hit the UK over the next 7 days.
On this side of the pond the weather seems to be changing faster than expected as well. On the East Coast people are worried about where Hurricane Sandy is going. But on the West Coast, it seems that we will get another round of showers next week no matter what. I see mention of an arctic blocker. That can effect the entire Northern Hemisphere. Perhaps we are in for an early blast of cold winter weather.
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

Meanwhile, it was 77˚ here in the heartland where it is normally in the 50s. It hasn't been this warm since early September, and it is supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Then down in the mid to low 40s for the highs Saturday/Sunday. I love 40 degree temperature swings! :)

I'm good to go, though. I picked up one of these today, so I'll be toasty or out hunting wabbits. :)

I've been looking at different sites reporting this weather coming in for a couple of weeks now. At one stage it was predicted that the UK (well the South [cheers1]) could hit temperatures in the low to mid 20 C, with perhaps some episodes of "Blood Rain', before the Arctic winds and snow swept down the East coast tomorrow.
One sure sign that it's going to snow, [cold1] the local Tesco supermarket has stocks of snow shovels for sale ! Never stocked them before ! [lol2]
