Title: First autumn rains for Northern California

Dear WeatherCat fans,

After a number of false alarms, we finally got the first significant rain of the 2012-2013 wet season.  It was an unusually strong storm for October.  We picked up 1.34 inches (34mm).  With that, we seem reasonably close to our seasonable totals and more rain is expected for Wednesday.
