Title: Hottest UK day of 2012
Post by: jace on August 18, 2012, 11:39:07 PM
 [woohoo]

Nothing to compare with the temperatures that our American cousins have been experiencing , but parts of the UK have experienced their hottest day of 2012 so far, with Cavendish in Suffolk reaching 32.4C. I got a high of 32.6 C  at Yoxford [lol2]

Hi Jace,

Very hot in the Netherlands as well: yesterday a sweet 35.5?C and even hotter weather expected today. The all time record is 38.6?C. Not sure if we'll hit that but 100?F (37.7?C) is expected!

My tennis match this afternoon will be fun. [sweat2]

Howdy JC, Jos, and European WeatherCat fans,

We are hearing reports from French relatives that indeed things are just as bad in France.  They are starting to get nervous because of the scandal over the deaths of senior citizens some years ago during a similarly hot period in France.  When you have "older architecture, " backfitting air conditioners can be all but impossible.  I'm having enough trouble trying to do this with something that isn't 50 years old . . . . .

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

P.S. Of course the fact that it has 4-wheels doesn't help!! (http://www.canebas.org/Automotive/V8_Buick/Misc/Biquette_V8_Buick_signature.gif)
