This week's weather forecast: mostly clear skies with a chance of dirty snowballs.
Luckily remaining at a distance so we don't suffer the same fate as the dinosaurs. ;)

Wonderful photo, Jos!
It's been overcast here, so nothing for us to see.

Dear Jos, Steve, Reinhard, and WeatherCat stargazers,
This week's weather forecast: mostly clear skies with a chance of dirty snowballs.
Thanks Jos for sharing!
Depending on the circumstances, I might try to at least take a look. The forecast around here is favorable.

[wink] True . . . . But you have to admit, it must have been a spectacular sight until it hit the earth!! . . . . lol(1)

Dear Blick and WeatherCat stargazers,
From my brother's house.
Thanks for sharing!
It is an interesting photograph because of the light pollution in the background. When I was still able to do amateur astronomy, my cronies and I would travel many miles to get away from the light pollution and really enjoy our telescopes. For the comet to be visible even with the light pollution shows how bright it is.
Thanks again . . . .
Anyone else?

Here’s a poor quality phone camera image from last night. Still a bit of haze, but better than the complete overcast we’ve had for a week.

I did try to at least see the comet last night before going to bed. There was a beautiful moon rise though some high clouds. Alas, those very same clouds apparently obscured the comet. Depending on my energy level I'll try tonight.
Anyone else have a photo they would like to share?

Fog, fog and fog - no chance for an observation, unfortunately. But very cool pictures, loving them!
