Title: Weatherlink Live instead of data logger...
Post by: jg on September 24, 2024, 11:32:19 PM
So I bought a new Vantage Pro II and it came with their new console.  I paid the money for Weatherlink Live pro, can I have Weathercat take that data and link it to WeatherCat so I can have all my custom weather pages, alerts, etc.?

I've tried to figure it out from messages on the board but can't.

Simultaneously with this purchase my old MacMini bit the dust, so I'm looking to get away from the USB data logger.

Dear jg and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

. . . .

WeatherCat 3.2.0 only supports direct connection to a physical piece of hardware on your premises like the WeatherLink Live:

https://www.davisnet.com/products/weatherlink-live (https://www.davisnet.com/products/weatherlink-live)

The same applies to the new Davis console.  On the "to-do" list for a future version of WeatherCat is support for downloading weather data from the Davis cloud server, but it hasn't happened yet.

That is the situation at the moment.

Hi!

I'm new to the forum.

I am a WeatherCat user with a Weather Envoy + Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus FARS

I want to ask if WeatherCat can access Weatherlink Live's data memory and retrieve data when the program is turned off. Has progress been made on this function yet? I would be considering, when this is possible, buying a WLL, since I have a PRO license at weatherlink.com

Thanks for this great software
