Title: The Weather Channel weighs in on summer. (Re: NWS - CPC forecasts - Spring 2024)
Post by: elagache on June 14, 2024, 10:58:31 PM
Dear WeatherCat climate watchers in the USA,

The Weather Channel has chimed in with its own opinion of what to expect in the United States this summer:

https://weather.com/forecast/national/news/2024-06-13-late-summer-outlook-temperatures-us-july-through-september (https://weather.com/forecast/national/news/2024-06-13-late-summer-outlook-temperatures-us-july-through-september)

While the astronomical start to summer is still a few days away, it does appear that it will be a hot summer for most of the country.  Since of course climate is necessarily global in nature, it is likely to be a warm summer for a good part of the northern hemisphere.

If you haven't had your air conditioning system serviced (like me,) it would be prudent to get on the schedule!

Wow. Sounds like it will be "a hot time in the old town tonight" (and every night).
