Incredible reports about flooding in New England, especially Vermont. Yikes. I recall being in Vermont a number of years ago during another flood event. It gets pretty bad. Lots of rivers in New England.

We go to Vermont every year, Montpeiller is a beautiful town, and no levees along the river. I am guessing that won't be done either after this flood. The river actually goes under some buildings in town. It is terrible that happened. This year we decided to remain at home.

Sorry you had to cancel your trip to Vermont this year, albeit, probably for the best. I am watching weather in the west, notably forest fires and smoke. Might have to adjust our itinerary to avoid the problems. Thankfully, the record snowfall in the Sierra is melting out pretty well, so I still plant visit the Sierra.

we have had a lot of smoke here, last week , fortunately the wind shifted. We have no rain here and could use some, it is pretty dry . the THSW is 90 right now and next week we get to the 90s, so it should be a lot of fun.
