My computer was dying and I upgraded to the iMac 24 inch M1. Now I can't download the data logger. Is this something that the M1 chip has conflict with. I use the IP logger in the past and now.
Weathersnoop has no problems as I can put in the new IP address (I changed the modem to a fiber )

Dear Weatheraardvark and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems connecting to your IP data logger. A prudent precaution is to repeat the procedure in this WeatherCat Wiki article to see if that will allow you to reconnect:
https://wiki.trixology.com/index.php?title=How_to_setup_the_Davis_WeatherLinkIP%E2%84%A2_data_logger (https://wiki.trixology.com/index.php?title=How_to_setup_the_Davis_WeatherLinkIP%E2%84%A2_data_logger)
If that doesn't work, perhaps you could reset your data logger as described in this Wiki article:
https://wiki.trixology.com/index.php?title=How_to_reset_a_Davis_WeatherLinkIP_data_logger_and_other_troubleshooting_tips (https://wiki.trixology.com/index.php?title=How_to_reset_a_Davis_WeatherLinkIP_data_logger_and_other_troubleshooting_tips)
Beyond that, you might check the forum threads on the later macOS versions and those using the new Macs with M1 chips. You might find some insight that will help you.
Here is one of those old and long threads:

Perhaps you will find what you are looking for there.

I will try, and if it doesn't work, well time to stand on my head and quack. thank you. it would be nice to be able to insert in the app the IP address.
I had to do that with Weathersnoop and it worked.

I did all that was recommended, none worked.

I don't have the IP data logger, so I can't test this for myself, but the WeatherCat manual says you can enter the IP address manually. Check page 75 in the current manual.
Let us know what you discover.

If I could find the screen where station communications is, then I would be in business

Do you have an item in the Tools Menu labeled "Configure Station Comms..."? If you do and you select that, you will get a dialog reading:
Configure Comms
Are you sure you wish to configure the weather station communications? This will delete the current configuration and exit WeatherCat immediately. The next time you launch WeatherCat you will be given the option of setting up the comms again.
Hope that helps.

That worked. Thank you.
