Considering everything we are ALL going through this year, and the uncertainty of the next year, please enjoy the moments of this holiday season with the sincere hope, that if we are cautious, careful next year at this time, we will have survived to have a very happy next time.
Happy Holidays, and if Santa leaves you a lump of coal you can burn it to keep warm .
Title: Biquette's 2020 Christmas card. (Re: Merry Christmas Everyone!)
Post by: elagache on December 24, 2020, 11:00:58 PM
Dear Stu, X-Air, ColdnFrosty, Reinhard, Grand, Weatheraardvark, and WeatherCat extended family,

Since 2011 I have been making a photo Christmas card featuring my trusty wagon.  This year is no exception, however some explanation is needed.  Two members of the family are in very frail health.  If COVID-19 ever reached us, I don't know if any of us would have survived.  So we have had little choice to remain in perpetual lock-down since March.  Mix in the California drought, wild fires, and Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and it has been a horrific year.

Somehow, all this needed to get reflected in Biquette's Christmas card for this year.  This is what I finally came up with:

(https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-RMQdg7j/0/74a08fd0/XL/i-RMQdg7j-XL.jpg) (https://canebas.smugmug.com/Biquette/Photos-of-Biquette/2020-Christmas-card/n-9kGc9f/i-RMQdg7j/A)

Thankfully, one of the Buick forum members had a photo of a wrecked 1964 Buick Sportwagon which he consented to let me include in the card.

All this has been a heavy burden on me and has severely limited my participation on the forum.  It has also contributed to errors on my part for which I apologize.  What else can I say, but this year more than any other, I have had no choice to turn to my faith for comfort.  This year is definitely a call to return to the original meaning of Christmas.  May we all find a way to listen.

Edouard

Roses are reddish
Violets are blueish
If it weren't for Christmas,
We'd all be Jewish.    lol(1)
