Fellow WeatherCatters of the World:
Seven years ago today, I installed a trial version of WeatherCat (1.2.1 Build 27) on my iMac. I have now run 81 different builds of our favourite Cat, including a bunch of development builds, on three different iMacs. I've enjoyed Rocinante (whose name I had forgotten and had to lookup to see who Rocinante was), Pegasus, ShadowFax, Winter Storm, Little Rascal, Tactical Grace, and now Oceanic Dissonance. I am still hoping Stu will name a build Boaty McBoatface.
Along the way I have met some wonderful people on this forum, and even met one of you in person who bought my dinner (thank you again, Steve)! I have had seven wonderful years learning about weather and having all kinds of fun with my backyard weather database. Thank you, fellow WeatherCatters, for coming to my rescue many, many times as I didn't know anything about software, hardware, or weatherware when I started and I know even less now! Thank you Edouard, for all the help you have given to all of us over the years. Thank you Steve, Reinhard, and Mark Crossley for holding my hand until I could figure out how to install the SteelSeries Gauges. Thank you, Herb, for providing a discount on bulk batteries. Thank you, Randy, for some great exchanges on the forum. Thank you, Toby, for teaching me the difference between backups and redundancy. Thank you, Grand, for the iOS apps.
Most of all, thank you, Stu, for the best macOS weather software available. Thanks for all the hours and £ you spent over the years sharing your WeatherCat dream with us. I am looking forward to the next seven years.

I feel like I'm at a Birthday Party hosted by Blick. That was a wonderful toast to your seven years with WeatherCat. Thank you for that.

Just a new guy here but if I might comment it certainly is nice to see the great community spirit that this forum and WeatherCat has fostered.
Congratulations Blicj11 and WC!

No chance :)

Dear Blick, Grand, BikerGeek, Stu, and WeatherCat faithful . . .

. . .
[wink] . . . . . . You must be terribly confused! Don't you know that 7 is a lucky number and WeatherCat is a black cat! When was the last time a black cat brought good luck!! . . . . . lol(1)
Seriously congratulations!! [cheer] You have certainly contributed your part to the forum and the all important Wiki! ThU5:-) I'm certainly glad to have you as a part of the WeatherCat community! [bounce]
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

and even met one of you in person who bought my dinner (thank you again, Steve)!
It was my honor and pleasure. I'd love to be out there and do it again! We haven't travelled since June 2019, and it is driving me nuts!
And I'd repeat the thanks to all the folks who help keep WeatherCat moving forward, working smoothly, and a great place to hang out. I too am approaching an anniversary, having launched Avon-weather.com nine years ago September 7th. That was on WeatherCat's predecessor Lightsoft Weather Center on the old MacWeather.net forum. Not many of those folks left now!
I look forward to another seven years of your company, John!

Congratulations Blick, and thanks for the fun note.
Your post made me think of when I started with WeatherCat. I remember starting with WeatherCat predecessor Lightsoft Weather Center, so it must have been around 2009 or 2010?
Anyways, totally agree that WC is by far the best weather software available (possibly not only for macOS), but for me the user experience is further enhanced by the amazing group of people on this forum: funny, very knowledgeable, and always positive and helpful. The internet could do with more of this.
Thanks all. ThU32:-)

Hi to all Weathercatters
I started with Stu from the beginning it will be 14 years in January (2007) which I thought it was before that in 2005. I have been collecting weather since 2002 and uploading it
and I have meet a lot of good people doing this as a hobby and have learned a lot about weather since then and hope to keep it
up with the best weather software for a mac right here. We owe everything to Stu for his dedication for his work [tup]
cheers to all WC users [cheers1] [beer] [cheers1] [cheer]
