Recently retired my 2008 Mac Pro, moving to a 2018 Mac Mini. I've tried any number of things to generate data from my station (WeatherCat 3.05 Build 27), to no avail. My outputted log is as follows...any support would be appreciated...thx- David.Hechinger@gmail.com

What version of the USB driver are you using, the latest from the chip manufacturer (not Davis) is here: https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/Mac_OSX_VCP_Driver.zip (https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/Mac_OSX_VCP_Driver.zip)
I guess from the log you are using the USB logger, it seems the logger is being detected but not responding to requests for LOOP data

Dear David, Fifth Horseman, and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

Fifth Horseman is correct, you need to the latest driver, but since Mojave there is an additional step required to make the Silicon Labs driver work. There is a driver gate keeping function that requires you to authorize in order to get macOS to allow you to use the driver. Here are instructions from MIT explaining how to authorize the Silicon Lab driver:

The catch is that you need to make this approval within an hour of installing the driver. The easiest way out of this problem is to uninstall the driver (Silicon Labs also provides an uninstaller.) Then install the driver again. At the point you can open up the Security and Privacy tab of the System Preferences and follow the instructions of the MIT page.

All: Regrettably, I was unable to bring up data from the station after uninstalling and reinstalling the silabs driver* (followed the posted directions, albeit the Security and Privacy section never responded to the installation of the driver.) I disconnected the USB cable, per the silabs instructions, during reinsallation, reconnecting after driver was in place. I have also given full disk access to the WCat app, rebooted the system several times, each time to no avail.
I am including the most recent log if that is of any value. Thanks guys for working on this for me. I've had the station up the better part of a decade prior to this "challenge" :-). David

Have you tried reseting the Vue Console? Your log shows WeatherCat is connecting to the Logger OK.

I second Dave's suggestion. Power cycling the console might "snap it out" of some sort of state that is preventing WeatherCat from getting data.
The only other thing I can think of is to repeat the procedure of uninstalling and installing of the Silicon Labs driver. If you decided to try that, could you do me a favor and take a screenshot of the Privacy and Security pane of System Preferences with the request to authorize the Silicon Lab driver? You can attach it to a reply on this thread. We really should document this for ourselves instead of relying on MIT.
Let us know of any change in your situation.

I third the suggestion. I had to do that just last month on my VP2+ to reconnect with WeatherCat. I called Davis tech support and they told me sometimes something in the logger gets corrupted and blocks normal data transmission. Here is a link on how to reset the VP2+ with the IP logger. Yours will be slightly different with the VUE and the USB logger, but this will give you idea of what to do.

Thanks all for your latest suggestions. At some point this past week, prior to upgrading to Catalina, I did a complete reset of the Vue station (pulled batteries, reset, then replaced w/new batteries). I also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, per posted directions (paying close attention to the Security and Privacy admonitions). I suspect I could once again do a complete reset of the station, and if that fails to correct the issue, I will try Blicj11's suggestion re: possible corruption of the logger mechanism (https://wiki.trixology.com/index.php?title=How_to_reset_a_Davis_WeatherLinkIP_data_logger_and_other_troubleshooting_tips). Will let you know how this goes sometime over the weekend. Again thanks for your input....dh

Thanks for keeping us informed. If you have no joy with this over the weekend, my next suggestion would be to call Davis and ask if they have any further suggestions for making sure the issue is not on the hardware end. Good luck.

Good news and new challenge: After taking all of your suggestions, and resetting the driver in the configure comms area, my station’s data is now communicating locally. (Log follows below). My last remaining issue is that the data, which appears to be uploading to WUnderground, is not evident when going online (KMDANNAP10). As I mentioned earlier, the station had been successfully running almost a decade before this upgrade to Mac 10.15.4. I’ll attach some screen shots if that will help point to what is still not functioning. Again, I appreciate any of your thoughts- David.Hechinger@gmail.com.

This suggestion is counter-intuitive, but give it a try anyway. Change your Weather Underground password to something that only has letters and numbers in it - no punctuation or other "special characters." Yes, your old password "appeared" to be working, but a number of us had similar problems during the long and ugly process of Weather Underground's migration to a new IBM mandated cloud platform. Nobody around here knows the rhyme or reason, but somewhere along the way they changed the password criteria and only partially grand-fathered in the old passwords. So sometimes an old password will work but sooner or later it does fail.
So try a simpler password and see if that get's your station back online.

Your WeatherUnderground logs show that up though May2 you were uploading at a rate of once every 5 minute. Your last screen shots shows running with Rapid Fire at once per second. I suspect this exceeded the capability for a complete error free data burst. The WU acknowledgment only means that you connected with their server.
Try turning off Rapid Fire and run at, say 1 or 2 minutes, regular rate and see if that works. 🤞

I too am having difficulty getting WeatherCat to communicate with my Vantage Vue on an iMac running Catalina. I have installed the latest drivers as suggested. What is puzzling though is that the Vantage Vue communicates normally with the WeatherDisplay program running on the same computer which makes me think the problem does not lie with the Vantage Vue but with something in Weather Cat. I wonder if there are any suggestion as to how I might fix this?

It is difficult to troubleshoot more than one problem in a forum thread. When you do that, could you please collect and post the logs of WeatherCat starting up as David has done? That might help us pinpoint the problem.

Interesting change of situation: My station is now uploading its data to WUnderground. I suspect it may have something to do with a supplementary patch to Catalina (10.15.5) that took place this past week. No clue why this is occuring now, but after a frustrating several weeks, am happy for the reversal of fortune. Thx to everyone for your contributions- dh
