Title: It may be time to reconsider using DropBox
Post by: xairbusdriver on July 21, 2019, 04:29:16 AM
Dropbox mistakenly and secretly adds a file manager to your computer (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/07/dropbox-silently-installs-new-file-manager-app-on-users-systems/),
as if you needed another one.

Dear X-Air and WeatherCat cautious netizens,

Dropbox mistakenly and secretly adds a file manager to your computer (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/07/dropbox-silently-installs-new-file-manager-app-on-users-systems/),
as if you needed another one.

Thanks for the head's up.  I had noticed this "improvement," because for the first time in many months I had to share a large file with an editor and I thought it was safe to use DropBox.  Hopefully, it will be a few months before I need this again and the DropBox gang will learn some manners.

Oh well, . . . . Edouard
