Dear WeatherCat statistics junkies,
The National Weather Service has compiled a graph of the weather-related fatalities for 2018 and added a 10 and 30 year average for comparison. The graphic is located here:

Consistent with long-term trends, heat is the number 1 weather-related killer followed by flooding as #2. It is interesting that deaths from tornadoes and hurricanes were well below normal averages last year. Alas, this year may make up for that.
