Dear WeatherCat web spinners with security in mind,
Now that it appears possible to have WeatherCat upload data using SFTP instead of FTP (see this thread:)
http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=677.msg23831#msg23831 (http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=677.msg23831#msg23831)
The next question is how many people could actually take advantage of it? My website is hosted by GoDaddy and after going through a few hoops I did manage to make SFTP work properly. If anyone else wants to upgrade a GoDaddy site and needs some instructions let me know. Could people check and see if they can upgrade or not and explain as needed what they discover?
This will help Stu assess "if and when" to make this sort of upgrade.
Cheers, Edouard

My website host supports FTPS, but not SFTP. I would use FTPS if it was available in WC.

I have Hostmonster.com
They are very good on security and yes it does support SFTP. They are also very good with customer service 24/7

Hostgator.com allows SFTP by default. All I did was grab the port number they wanted me to use from heir site, change the 'shortcut' in Fetch to "SFTP" and add the port number. Clicked Connect and it worked. Be aware that Hostgator and Hostmonster are owned by EIG (https://www.linux-depot.com/non-endurance-international-group-eig-hosting/).
