Howdy Stu and WeatherCatters anxious to leave 2016 behind . . . .

Happy New Year everyone.

;) . . . . Not so fast Stu!  At least in the United States, it was a very long and rough year and as if we didn't have enough stress, those darn scientists are extending 2016 by one whole additional second!! . . . .

Wouldn't you know it.  Everybody is slowing down these days - even the Earth!  [biggrin]

We hope you'll have a great 2017!

By all means hoping the same for you Stu!  ThU5:-)

After the year we've had, we really need a things to turn around!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Dull, damp, foggy, 48?F (8.9?C)... wait! Am I in England?! Rub eyes, look at new calendar... not much help! Picture for January is of Windsor Castle... Check the morning newspaper... oops, we were missed by the delivery guy! Oh well, England is one of my favorite places! Oh, just checked my weather page.
Quote
DENSE FOG WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE MIDSOUTH... ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST THIS MORNING... * VISIBILITY...WILL BE REDUCED TO A QUARTER MILE OR LESS IN MOST AREAS. SOME LOW LYING AREAS WILL CLOSE TO ZERO VISIBILITY.*
ThU32:-) I see it says "MIDSOUTH"! [cheer] Don't think that's part of the other "big island"! Guess I'm still in the US of A! Anyway, Happy New Year  to everyone!!

P.S. Type those three words into your iPhone and see what happens! ;)

* The National Weather Service keyboard doesn't have a working cap lock key.
Their warnings are in ALL CAPS.
Hopefully, they will become
less dramatic with the new
Administration. OTOH,
that's not looking
very promising...  [rolleyes2]
