I had to go into hospital couple of weeks back for an emergency operation, and of course that's when my old Mac Mini decided that the HD would fall over so I lost a few hours of data which the data logger saved until I got out from hospital.
Moved da 'Cat across to my old MacBook until I got a SSD into the Mini and transferred the 'Cat back to the mini all seemed ok.
Now the problems kicked in ! Web site is trashed, I will have to re-build it, if I can remember how I did it 3 years ago !
But Time Machine backups somehow got scrambled as did the "cat's backup files, and I'm missing data from the NOAA report for March and obviously the Annual report will be wrong too.
I sure Stu had a 'fix' for repairing NOAA reports but for the life of me cannot remember how, can anybody help, is it just a case of deleting the existing reports and letting the system rebuild them ? Or something more techie ?
Cheers JC [cheers1]

Sorry to hear about your need for hospital, but glad you are back home. I looked at your website a couple of days ago and noticed that it was a bit strange. Now I know why. Good luck with the rebuild.

Dear JC, Blick, and WeatherCat troubleshooters,
So sorry you had to make the hospital run. I hope you are indeed on the mend.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Were you able to recover the lost data or not? If you have the data somewhere, then you should be able to manually general the NOAA reports once you have repopulated WeatherCat with the correct data. How long ago was this? Would the data you need still be on the Davis logger?
Best of luck getting everything put back together on your weather website!

Hi All
Edouard, cannot find the data at all. obviously when the HD decided to give up the ghost the daily backups etc went with it, the Time Machine backups on a separate USB drive have gone weird on me as well, (probably due to me messing about after the op).
There is a block of missing daily reports from the 8th March through to the 18th March where I cannot find any WCat reports having been generated at all, that I would like to have generated in case the missing data affects the March monthly report.
The ongoing March NOAA report has corrupted data from the 1st March until the 14th when it seems to resolve itself. Is there a way to regenerate the ongoing report with the correct data. ( report attached). The annual NOAA report seems to be ok now. [lol2]
Thanks for any advice

Jace, I know that the NOAA-style reports automatically change when the data changes. I recently changed the settings for the base temperatures for Heating/Cooling Degree Days in WC preferences. After doing so, when I went back to either Monthly or Annual NOAA reports, the changes were incorporated. You can use the Save button in the lower left corner of the NOAA Style Reports window to save the monthly report (or annual) if you want to replace a previous month's report.
However, it sounds like you are just dealing with March 2016 for now, so if you can recover your data for this month, the NOAA report will reflect that data in its monthly report saved at midnight on March 31.
Let me know when you have restored your SteelSeries Gauges and I will add your station back into the Wiki section that identifies website examples of the gauges.

Blick is correct, the NOAA reports are generated dynamically from the data at the time of generation.
It's possible to save all reports via the button at the bottom of the NOAA Reports window - this will run through your data set and generate reports for every year and month found.
