Title: Email setup problem

Hi All
I am new to Weathercat and cannot get email setup to work. I have entered the information as per the instruction manual and it will not work. I wanted to post screenshots to show the problems, but cannot seem to get them to work. Can you help please?

Hi pat62, welcome to the forum.

Check the back of the WeatherCat manual (Appendix 2) - there are examples there for Apple and Google.

Note that if you've enabled two factor authentication on your account, you may need to generate an application specific password.

I have only two things to say:

First! Welcome AboaRd, Pat62! As you can see, the WC dev is extremely quick with responses. And you'll, no doubt, find more help coming as more members wake up today! ;)

Second. I hate setting up email in most apps/services! Nothing against WC, I got it working there! I think it is the whole, relatively ancient, communications method that causes so much trouble. Only recommendation I can offer is to double-check passwords, ports, protocol methods used by your provider and then chisel them in stone tablets. Of course, you'll need new stones when your provider decides to upgrade their methods one day. The only method I've found that works for me is to write down every single detail, including passwords, before hitting the OK/submit/etc. button. I have several dozen sheets of paper from years past... Apple does not help by having "tokens" and two-step authentication! [rolleyes2]
