Title: Christmas greetings 2015
Post by: elagache on December 22, 2015, 11:34:08 PM
Dear WeatherCat faithful,

Those darn eager beavers on the automotive forums have already started their Christmas threads for this year.  So perhaps we should start one on the WeatherCat forum as well.  This year, I put GraphicConverter to work on one of my dawn photos around our anemometer to make a weather appropriate online Christmas card:

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all you WeatherCatters out there!  :)

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

P.S. Perhaps we could try to keep our greetings to this thread like last year to keep the forum tidy!

Thanks for starting this thread. I too wish all my fellow WeatherCatters and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I have been moving snow all day, from where Heaven deposited it to where I would rather store it on my property. We have had a couple of feet of snow fall in the last two days (.6 meters). We need the water so I am rejoicing.

Merry Christmas Blick, Herb, Reinhard, Robert, Stu, and the rest of the WeatherCat community!  :)

Hard to believe, but we have a very cold storm expected for tomorrow and there is a chance of snow on the local peaks of the region!  [snow]

We'll see! . . Edouard

Hope everyone has twice as much fun and friendship and half as much food this day as I have!

Flash flood warnings have been canceled for the day. We've had 1.85 inches since midnight with more rain forecast for Sunday and much of next week! :(

Dear Randall, X-Air, and WeatherCat victims of holiday excess!

Merry Christmas to you both! . .   :)

Flash flood warnings have been canceled for the day. We've had 1.85 inches since midnight with more rain forecast for Sunday and much of next week! :(

;) . . . But look on the bright side!  This Christmas you know that you've received 1.85" measured accurately 0.01"!   [rain2]  Last Christmas you couldn't do that!

Yeah, I know . . . . with friends like this . . . .  [rolleyes2]

Cheers, Edouard

Hello WeatherCat holidayers,

greetings from our hiking around 2150 metres above sea level on Christmas Day. Looks like autumn, but it *should* be deepest winter...
The whole family (except me as taking the picture), sons, daughters, wife & my mother (93 years old!!!) - what a beautiful day!

Cheers,
Reinhard

Dear Reinhard and WeatherCat observers of "boxing day."

greetings from our hiking around 2150 metres above sea level on Christmas Day.
The whole family (except me as taking the picture), sons, daughters, wife & my mother (93 years old!!!) - what a beautiful day!

Glad everyone was able to participate and had a nice time!

This I do not like.  I sure wonder where we are headed weatherwise.  Last year, we had a high pressure settle in just after Christmas and that was the end of the rain.  The current forecast: high pressure in control until at least the end of week.  This sure doesn't look like El Ni?o to me. . . . .

Oh well, . . . . Edouard
