...or the newest one since I'd read the topic? I've looked at the settings but either they are not there, I miss understand them, or I just need new glasses! I'm basically lazy and have grown accustomed to having a topic open at the newest message. These forums seem to always open on the first page of every topic, even the ones I've read.
I've changed the display to 'newest at the top' even though I'd rather have it the other way. It appears that the "Notify" is the same function as other boards use for "Subscribe"?
OK, I also know I can click the 'page' number in a forum's topics list. I'm more accustomed to having a checkbox/button to actually go directly to the newest post. Just different strokes for different forum makers. [banghead] Every one should just do everything the way I do (want)! [biggrin]

You just click the "NEW" text on a topic to take you to the latest unread message in that thread.

DOH! [goofy] Well, sure, there's that! [blush]
Gotta go, got an appointment with the Optometrist...
At least we now know "stupid questions" are allowed here! [cheer]

Hi xairbusdriver
If you are asking about this on the WeatherCat forum:
1. Go to profile
2. Forum Profile
3. Modify Profile
4. Go to Look and layout
5. Then click Show Most recent Post at Top of Page
then the latest post is on top
cheers

Thanks, Randell, I'd found that and it works, but I like reading down the page chronologically. So I set it back to the default.
Mark saw my ignorance and answered my question. Reading down does seem backwards to many, I suppose. Must come from some deranged behavior I developed as a child!? It's just a habit! And I'm a fairly old dog, so you know how hard it is to learn new 'tricks'! :)
