Title: Crash Question
Post by: Blicj11 on March 25, 2015, 01:54:08 AM
Stu:

I finally had another one of those crashes that I can't diagnose. Same as the last few, although this is the first one in a month. I keep closing windows down to see if I can isolate it. I don't have anything left open but a few custom gauges (Temperature, Radiation, UV, Humidity and Precipitation), the Status tool and my Banner Generator.

I noticed in the console log there is as an entry about failing to write crash history. Please see the attached screenshot of the log and tell me if the second line is something I need to worry about.

Thanks.

Dear Blick and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

I noticed in the console log there is as an entry about failing to write crash history. Please see the attached screenshot of the log and tell me if the second line is something I need to worry about.

Hmm, . . . .  I don't like the look of that.

Normally, writing a file is something the system does very robustly.  That suggests you might have some corruption on your file system.  I'd definitely run Disk First-Aid.  It also could be a Yosemite bug.  That's a .plist file that didn't get written and Yosemite clearly has bugs related to those preference .plist.  Golly I'm getting plenty nervous about Yosemite.  I sure wish Tech-Tool Pro would have another MacUpdate promotion so I could upgrade.  I might actually have to pay the full update price!  . . . .  ;) . . . Quelle horreur!!!  . . . .  [biggrin]

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
