Title: FTP message in startup sequence
Post by: Blicj11 on March 14, 2015, 12:36:45 AM
During startup of WeatherCat, the following message appeared in the Console log: get FTPPassword failed with code -25300

Screenshot attached.

FTP is running fine. Anyone know to what the message refers?

Howdy Blick and WeatherCat troubleshooters,

FTP is running fine. Anyone know to what the message refers?

Only Stu could know what that means for sure, but since your FTP is running fine, it must have been a temporary problem only.  Perhaps WeatherCat had to retry and succeeded on the second attempt.

Alternatively, we can blame on - da' usual suspects - gremlins! (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/gremlin_emoticon.png)

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

It's just me logging the error from trying to get the FTP password for that particular service from the keychain - for example if you are not using simple web (so the password doesn't exist), then it'll log this when it tries to read the simple web FTP password on startup. Nothing to worry about. (can anyone tell me why on a 2 month old Mac Pro I get delays in the characters appearing in this edit box when typing????)
