Dear WeatherCat climate watchers,
Some of us have been hoping for a boost in the rainfall thanks El Ni?o. Alas, it has arrived too little too late for at least this rainy season. The full story is here on a new website put up by the U.S. government: climate.gov:
http://www.climate.gov/news-features/blogs/enso/march-2015-enso-discussion-el-ni%C3%B1o-here (http://www.climate.gov/news-features/blogs/enso/march-2015-enso-discussion-el-ni%C3%B1o-here)
So the weather patterns we have been observing were not due to El Ni?o after all. That leaves the above normal rainfall for the south-western part of the United States unexplained.
Oh well, . . . . . Edouard

Unexplained? Lots of wishing on my part and sacrifices to the snow gods [cold1]
Here is to El Nino [cheers1] May ALL of the Southwest be drenched in abundant moisture this spring [bounce]
