Stu,
I know you're across the pond, but possibly the function/logic would be applicable to something over there as well. If you go to http://forecast.weather.gov/jetstream/doppler/ridge_download.htm you can see the NOAA help page for downloading doppler RIDGE images. I wanted to use this as my 3rd image capture in WeatherCat. However, there are really 8 images it appears:
Radar
Warnings
Legend
Topo
Counties
Rivers
Highways
Cities
But only the first 3 change. The last 5 are static. Any way you could allow WeatherCat to "composite" an image by saving the 5 static ones and overlaying the 3 that change into one image and storing that?
I'm using the 1st WeatherCat sat capture to grab the entire North American continent. The 2nd one is focused on the Midwest USA where I'm at and I'd like to capture the doppler above for my specific city (Kansas City)
Too crazy a request?

It may take a little time to find it, but weatherunderground has radar images that are very good, I use one on my site. I don't know if they have the doppler velocity images, but they do have the NEXRAD images as an image that can be referenced or downloaded.
Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion, I've added it to the list - first up for the imagery is more channels.
Cheers,
Stu.

Thanks Stu!
How soon before I can buy this application and help support you monetarily? This is really great coding and I'm actually anxious to have a licensed copy. I've only had my Davis VP2 for a month or so, and when I first turned it on I wasn't even sure LWC had a future. But of all the options it was the one I felt most mac-centric. I'm overjoyed that WeatherCat is picking up where it left off and I want to support the community.

Hi Mopac,
It'll be a week or two yet - I've a few small buggettes to fix up and some (rather tedious) business stuff to do to get everything above board.
Cheers,
Stu.
