Please help. I needed to restart my computer and now WC stalls out during the relaunch and I cannot get past "Launching image threads". I've forced quit numerous times, sometimes selecting software change backup--skip or OK...no difference.
I've attached the quit log report.

I was using version 1.2. Dowloaded ver. 1.2.4 and have same result.

I may have fixed things. I trashed the old 1.2 version and relaunched the new 1.2.4 version. Things loaded up fine. I'm not sure what's going on, but things seem to be ok now. I hope my data files are ok, but not sure how to check them.

It looks like you've solved your problem. There have been previous reports of problems when two copies of WeatherCat exist on the computer, so that may have been the cause.

Yes Steve, I do believe that was the problem. Thanks.

Dear Marty, Steve, and WeatherCat troubleshooters,
Glad that WeatherCat is working for you once more Marty!
I hope my data files are ok, but not sure how to check them.
You can take a look to see if your data has been effected or not. For one thing you can simply set the WeatherCat daily summary screen to another time and see if that data and graphs that you have display as you would expect. For a more careful inspection, you can look at the data files and make sure they aren't corrupted. They can be found in:
~/Library/WeatherCatData/Location1
Where ~ refers to your home folder on your Macintosh. What you'll find in that folder is a list of folders by year. Within those folders are two groups of files. The files ending in cat.hrs are index files that you should leave alone. The files that just end in .cat are the files with your weather data and they are formatted in plain text. So you can open them up with any editor like TextEdit (or more practical: TextWrangler which is free on the Mac App Store) and look for any corruption. Obviously don't edit the files, just look at them.

Thanks Edwuard. I checked my data and it's fine.

Glad you got it going Mtn Marty.
I'd recommend always using TextWrangler, or similar plain text editor - the problem with TextEdit, is that it isn't a plain text editor and can save files as RTF rather than plain text.
