This is from the Wall Street Journal Live website, so you will have to watch it there, I suppose.

Interesting video.

Aside: I always thought that my last name was a bit of a mouthful but I will take it over Bastardi. Think anyone ever teased Joe?

LOL! I always thought it must have been a heavy burden for him as a child. I've seen his weather presentations  several times before, but the name always grabs my attention anyway. Poor guy!

Guess I better call my propane company and order a bigger tank!

Hi Herb, Blick and WeatherCat fans,

This is from the Wall Street Journal Live website, so you will have to watch it there, I suppose.

Thanks for posting Herb.  The fellow has some very interesting things to say.  I didn't know we had so close to overwhelming the power grid last winter.  James Burke's blackout was in November 1965.  For that blackout, the weather wasn't a factor in potential threats to life and limb.  A power grill collapse in the middle of winter would be much more serious.  If global warming zealots do succeed in shutdown some power plants, that might become culpable for manslaughter.

I sure wish this review had said something about the western droughts.  He mentioned 2009-2010.  Those were wet years for Canebas.  Hope that is repeated!! (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/rain_happy.gif)

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
