Title: Snow in June
Post by: Blicj11 on June 19, 2014, 04:46:15 AM
We had 4 inches of snow and a low temperature of 26˚ F yesterday. An unusual day for mid-June here. I am not complaining, just observing. The snow contained .36 inches of water. Good times.

Dear Blick and WeatherCat drought sufferers,

We had 4 inches of snow and a low temperature of 26˚ F yesterday. An unusual day for mid-June here. I am not complaining, just observing. The snow contained .36 inches of water. Good times.

Congratulations!  Any moisture will help.  There have been some "wafflings" of the medium-range forecast models for California.  The average rainfall in June is 0.14" for Orinda.  This would be an excellent year to at least get that one storm.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Cool June so far and snow on the high peaks yesterday but moisture is still north of us.   June is one of our driest months.
