Title: Retaining rain and evapotranspiration data when replacing Davis console
Post by: Blicj11 on June 05, 2014, 08:20:16 PM
I have added a page to the Wiki covering retaining MTD and YTD rain and evapotranspiration data when you replace your Davis console with a new one. It is simple to calibrate these data fields on your new console, but you have to remember to do it if you are using those fields on your website. It only took me a week to see that I had no YTD rain. If I was Edouard's neighbour, that would make sense, but since we still get some moisture here it did not. Apologies to Edouard.

Dear Blick and WeatherCat "glad they have a Davis weather station" types,

I have added a page to the Wiki covering retaining MTD and YTD rain and evapotranspiration data when you replace your Davis console with a new one.

Gee!!  Thanks!!! (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/thankyou.gif)

Well, . . . . given the drought we are having in the western parts of the United States doesn't it feel like we didn't get any rain at all!! (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/desert-smiley.gif)

If I was Edouard's neighbour, that would make sense, but since we still get some moisture here it did not.

Hey!  We got - some - rain too!   We ended up with about 60% of normal.  That's a whole heck of a lot better than where California was headed at the end of January.  For that month we got only 1% of normal!  (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/eek2.gif)

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
