I have an old Vantage Pro running in a backup situation and had an old Leaf/Soil station that I wanted to use to monitor some different temps besides the ISS. I have it up and connected, console is updating it pretty frequently. However, when I try to graph it in WC as a custom Station 2 Temp, it only updates every 3-5 minutes.
Is this a limitation based on the sampling rate set in preferences, or is there a setting I can use to give more frequent updates to the charts? Alternatively is there a way to get a gauge for these auxiliary data items that is realtime like the standard gauge group?
Thanks.

Dear Lakedog and WeatherCat fans,
I don't have a Leaf/soil sensor, but I do have a second temperature/humidity sensor and it updates at the same rate as everything else. There are folks on this forum who have the leaf/soil sensor on their setup. I'm sure they'll eventually comment on this. However, to me anyway it "smells" like a hardware problem.
Sorry, not much help but something to ponder.
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

Same rate as the ISS if I remember correctly. My anemometer transmitter reports something like every 2.5 seconds.

Thanks, I thought that should be the case, so I am wondering if it an issue of the graph only updating at the archival data interval. ???
Is there a way to watch live data reception for the auxiliary channels?

On a Vantage or Vue, WeatherCat gets all the data in the same packet - so all channels update simultaneously. You can view all the channels in the Live Data View from the Tools menu.
The resolution of the leaf/soil temperature sensors is 1?F, whereas the resolution of the external temperature sensor is 0.1?F - therefore the leaf/soil temperature sensor will change value less frequently than the external temperature reading.

Thank you!
