I just found out about Weather Cat. I downloaded the 14 day trial and it looks very close to LWC. I noticed a discount price for people that had LWC. Is this offer still in place? Just wondering if I should switch over to Weather Cat.
Thanks

Dear Lakewood and WeatherCat fans,
First welcome to the WeatherCat forum!! (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/welcome_smiley.gif)
I also remember you from the LWC forum! Welcome to its successor! [tup]
I just found out about Weather Cat. I downloaded the 14 day trial and it looks very close to LWC.
And there is a very good reason for this . . . . . . WeatherCat is the replacement for LWC created by none other than the LWC developer Stuart Ball!

I think you need to ask Stu if the discount is still available. Try sending a PM to Stu at:
http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1 (http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1)
If that link doesn't work try going to the Administrator's profile page and sending a PM from there:
http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1 (http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?action=profile;u=1)
Just wondering if I should switch over to Weather Cat.
Think about WeatherCat as LWC on steroids with whiskers!! [cat]
If you look over the member list of this forum, you should see a lot of familiar faces. Virtually everyone from the old LWC forum has made the switch . . . .
;) . . . . . . . . . So, . . . . . what kept'ya? [biggrin]
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

There are other LWC members out there. Since LWC was dropped, I've have dropped off the forum, but keep my weather station up and going. Thought I'd check in. Fun to see many names I recognize.

Hi LesCimes
Glad to here from you again I believe we both came over from an other Mac Weather Program that had lost its support to its users about the same time right after LWC started
cheers

I believe you are correct about that. For the longest time weather software was PC only. Any Mac stuff was so very inadequate, until Stu came along. When LWC development was stopped I was bummed. Was slow to discover Stu's WeatherCat, sequel to LWC. Am still running version 1. Might jump to version 2 after reading about it here. Fun to be back on the forum after a long, intermittent absent.

LesCimes, I remember you from the old LWC forum. Welcome back.

Good to see you around again Michael [tup]

Dear LesCimes and WeatherCat (LWC) old-timers,
Long time no see! (http://www.canebas.org/Weather/LWC_forum/Custom_emoticons/welcome_smiley.gif)

WeatherCat 2 is still in public beta, but so far all the bugs have been very minor. Stu continues to know his way with cats! [cat] The upgrade is definitely worthwhile. The custom gauges are very nice looking, but the synthetic channels give you a whole new way to add data for you to display.
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

Appreciate the welcome back, you all. Thanks. Trying to be a more regular visitor. My job keeps getting in the way of my hobby. Oh well.
