You are very welcome, John, and it was such a pleasure to meet you both. We enjoyed the company and the wonderful food, and I'm very glad we were able to get together!

Dear Blick, Steve, and WeatherCat adventurers, . . . .

My wife and I met Steve and his wife tonight in Heber City, where they bought our dinner! We had a wonderful time getting better acquainted with one another.

Glad to hear it!   [cheer] We feel like "old friends" but I'm sure it would be an experience to meet anyone of you in person.

We covered lots of topics, including some of you because you were not there to defend yourselves.  :)

*Gulp!*  I do hope it was nothing that couldn't be mentioned in mixed company!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

Dear Steve and WeatherCat fans of beautiful scenery,

Here are a bunch of photos since the last dump.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures!

However, I must confess I especially like one picture in particular . . . .

Golden Spike National Historic Site

Just one of those things I guess!!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]

P.S. Sorry about the crack in the windshield.  The perils of a road trip.

We are slowly moving east, trying to stay to backroads as much as possible. Since leaving Salt Lake City, we have only been on the Interstate for 26 miles, and Monday had about 90 miles of packed dirt/gravel road on old US 40. :)

Heading toward St Louis, then up to Hannibal, and across the middle of Illinois and Indiana over the next few days.

Nice pics posted on Facebook. Were those videos on your big camera or your phone?  :)

Day 29, 9:18 PM EDT We're back home in NE Ohio! We drove 6785.5 miles, and according to the onboard computer, averaged 16.6 miles. The 4Runner now has 10,063 miles on the odometer, and has performed flawlessly. Time for the 10K service.

And we continued with the no interstates travel, adding about 30 miles total over the last three states. That's less than 100 miles from Salt Lake City to Cleveland, and about 300 miles since leaving Seattle. We drove approximately 120 miles of no-paved roads.

We had a wonderful trip, saw some amazing things, and ate too much fantastic food. Thanks to everyone who has followed along with us, and to the new folks who've found us during our travels.

We don't know what or when the next adventure will be, but continue following to find out.
