Fluid graphs and gauges
« on: July 13, 2014, 12:35:50 AM »
I have made some minor modifications to the standard WeatherCat template to eliminate FRAMES and make the template fluid to accommodate different screens.  As I was searching for a way to accomplish the automatic resizing, I found some very creative and bizarre ways that have been used.  Ultimately I found a very simple way to perform this task.

</div>
</p>

<IMG style="center; width:33%;" SRC="winddirection1.jpg">
</div>
</p>

<IMG style="center; width:33%; float:right" SRC="precipitation1.jpg">
<IMG style="center; width:33%;" SRC="precipitationc1.jpg">
</div>
</p>

I am always open for critique when it comes to programming.  I hope this is useful info for someone

Dear Len and WeatherCat Internet spiderweb weavers, . . .

I have made some minor modifications to the standard WeatherCat template to eliminate FRAMES and make the template fluid to accommodate different screens.

I'm sure Stuart Ball, the developer of WeatherCat, will have a look at your suggestion.  However, the simple web pages aren't really intended for extensive use.  Since WeatherCat has a very powerful custom web capability, the simple web pages are more like "training wheels" until folks graduate to custom web sites.  If you haven't already done so, take a look at this topic on the forum:

WeatherCat Web Templates - http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?board=5.0

There are a number of very nice looking web site templates at the top of the topics listing.  You might find these templates exactly what you were looking for or perhaps a basis for ideas to come up with your web site template.

Hope that's some inspiration.

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
