That is interesting. Not much help probably, but FYI: I was running the WC Client 2.0.0 on High Sierra without problems, and it continues to work fine since I upgraded to Mojave: no complaints from macOS...

As Jos noted, WC 2.X.X ran just fine on High Sierra before WC 3.0.0 was publicly released in March of this year.

Is that WC telling you it needs updating? You didn't mean the macOS alerted you to the need for an update did you?

This made me wonder why I don't have the WC Client V3.0.0. running. [rolleyes2] How do I get it?
The 'WeatherCat Miscellaneous Files' link on https://trixology.com/WeatherCat/ still gives you V2.0.0. and downloading WC 3.0.2 from that same page does not include the Client as far as I can see.

The Client was re-written to 64-bit sometime after the 3.0 build 2224. I am running the Client fine on macOS 10.13.6, and the Client version I have is 2.0.0. The 32-bit Client app was version 1.6.1. Version 2.0.0 is the most recent 64-bit app and there is no newer version. Randall, is it possible you still have a copy of the old Client on your machine (perhaps in a folder) that needs to be deleted?

Something is wrong here. That message is for 32-bit applications. If you click on the Apple, then About this Mac, then System Report and scroll down to Software | Applications, then scroll down to WeatherCatClient:
  • Do you only show one such app?
  • Does it show 64-Bit (Intel) = Yes?
