Backyard Stations Issue: We've Reached a "Limit"
« on: August 12, 2014, 12:14:15 AM »
Hi everyone!

Some of you are having issues accessing your Backyard Station data at WeatherBug.com, especially over the weekend. This is a known issue, and it should be resolved shortly.
Some people trying to register for new Backyard Stations are also having issues with registration as well. It seems we've hit a "limit" in our system trying to process new Backyard Stations registrations, so we're working to iron out those kinks, as well as ensure we can get and keep our existing stations online before processing new registrations.

Therefore, we are asking all users who are considering registering their Backyard Stations with us to please hold off registering your station until we give the "green light" saying we can begin registering Backyard Stations again. If you attempt to register a Backyard Station with us right now, you will receive an error message, and your registration won't be processed.
We are working to have this fix resolved ASAP so we can open the registration gates again soon. It seems our great success has come at a little bit of a system "price", but one we can resolve soon. :-)

This issue does not affect the Backyard Community, so users can register at the Backyard Community still, then register their stations as soon as we get the fix in place. Due to our influx of spammers that attempt to register on the community, it can take a little bit before your registration is approved since all registrations are hand-checked for approval.
In terms of other issues, we are working to get our CWOP feed turned back on slowly in WeatherBug 10 and our mobile apps, although in some instances, some CWOP stations aren't appearing, and others revert to an Earth Networks/WeatherBug Professional station when selecting a station. We're working to iron out those kinks, and once they are resolved, CWOP will function as expected.

We are also working to resolve a lingering glitch with WeatherBug 10 causing many Backyard Stations not to appear. As soon as that glitch is resolved, all Backyard Stations will once again be visible in WeatherBug 10.

We thank you for your patience as we work to iron out these kinks, and thanks again for continuing to be a part of the WeatherBug community!

Hi Nathan and WeatherCat "bugs" . . . .  ;D

Thanks for the update.  We can be patient with such things.  We know how cantankerous computers can be!

Hope the troubleshooting goes smoothly!  [tup]
