Would it be possible to have in your preferences where you have other places that weather data is sent,  a place for Globe.Gov?   To send both soil moisture/temperature and atmospheric conditions?

Many schools have Mac computers as Apple has a good deal  with them, and they have Davis weather as well.  they have to manually send the data in.  It would be a good sell for your program.   Data is sent on a default of 15 minutes.

Brian Hamilton, WeatherDisplay used to have it on his program years ago and probably could supply the code to you.

Dear Weatheraardvark and WeatherCat data submission junkies,

Would it be possible to have in your preferences where you have other places that weather data is sent,  a place for Globe.Gov?   To send both soil moisture/temperature and atmospheric conditions?

This topic has come up before back in 2014:

http://athena.trixology.com/index.php?topic=1380.0

At the time it really didn't seem relevant because the site states that it is only for schools or professional scientists.  It doesn't seem to want mere citizen weather data collectors.  I don't know of any school using WeatherCat - although I don't know why, it certainly would a great tool for teaching.

So there just doesn't seem to be enough potential users out there to add this to WeatherCat unless we don't understand globe.gov and they would gladly accept data from anybody.

Cheers, Edouard

I forgot to tell you that i have sent data to globe.gov since 2000.  I send manually and through weatherlinkIP   both atmospheric and soil data  daily, every 15 minutes.  Now you know of a scientist who by his own fate found that he had to resort to finding some software that works on a mac.   Silly me.

No, I am not mad, but I will remain quiet.   And yes, just because you don't hear it, might be a clue that these folks skip by and do not purchase your software.
