Custom Gauge Scales
« on: January 21, 2017, 12:04:00 AM »
Searched but found no posts about this, Admins can/should move this post if there is.

The markings for most gauges seem to have a fixed starting and ending points/degrees on the circle (Wind being an exception). When one wants a manual min/max value, WC auotmagically sets 10 points and labels them as needed. However, this can make it a bit hard to quickly determine the values between those labels if they are not multiples of 5, 10, 20, for example. Of course, the actual value is in text, but this can also become hidden by some of the pointer styles.

My request is to make the 'major' divisions/labels as multiples of 5, 10, 20, etc. thus making the values between the labels easier to 'guesstimate'. The only 'odd' values would be at the end of the scale (possibly at both ends when a starting number is not zero or a multiple as listed above. The down side is that the number divisions will vary. On the other hand, coming up with that number is what 'computers' are good at. [rolleyes2] The easy part is typing in the code! [computer]  cmu:-)

This is a minor nuisance possibly limited to this writer! But I know the Dev is always looking to please all the people all the time...  ThU5:-)
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
