WeatherCatReports and WeatherCatNOAAReports
« on: November 19, 2015, 01:31:15 PM »
The WeatherCatReports and WeatherCatNOAAReports daily reports are building up on my hard drive, and I doubt I will ever look at them. If I want access to historic data I can check the main database.

I'd like the options, if possible to:

1. be able to store these files at a user-defined location; and
2. be able to control (or at least switch off) file-saving.

Thanks for considering this.

Michael

Your post encouraged me to see what was in The Manual about these reports. Page 45 & 47 is all I found. I must admit I've never used either on my web site and probably only viewed them accidentally! [blush] Being concerned only for myself [rolleyes2], I would like to know that these reports are simply for the daily/monthly/annual collecting of data that remains in the database. In other words, deleting them, will not affect the database. Likewise, the highest/lowest values are only queries made by WC when it 'sees' the "MAX' and 'MIN' TYPE stat request.

Sorry to be so dense, but these reports are probably always available with appropriate queries of the database, at least that seems to be what Michael is saying:

Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
