Thread locks without an explanation? Did I miss something? (I usually do) :)

Perhaps it's cross-threaded! Always turn a bolt counter-clockwise until you hear a slight click or feel it make a slight bump. That means the thread have just matched up and you can then turn in the normal, clockwise direction. [tup]

Wait! Are you talking about a forum post/thread?! ??? :o Never mind the turning thing! Just contact (payoff) a Mod/Admin. [rockon]

Depnds on whether you want answers. Back in my Air Force days, I learned that selecting each phone line and then pressing the Hold button very effectively lowered the ringing of the phone... locking a thread probably yields similar results; more time to take care of business! [lol]

I unlocked the thread .

Ah   I have the same problems with that guy from Pakistan who insists my computer is putting out virus signals.  I have hung up,  taunted him,  told him that he had reached the CIA, INS, Hackers are US , suggested they were terrorists and ISIS .... that upset them right away and hung up on me  and so forth.    So far no one is calling . Must be on vacation.

The latest is someone calling if I want a walk in bathtub.  I asked them  if I am in the tub and need to take a dump in  a hurry, what do I do.  that gets them, answers are from there is an emergency drain, which I reply but I don't want a swimmer in the tub if I have an accident. Then they say climb out of the tub and I say doesn't that defeat the safety of the tub?

Finally I got one today and I declared I don't bathe.    Watching weather conditions can be very boring at times.

We have a fax line, when I was teaching, I'd call parents on that line.  Their little bastards would try to prank me and of course you know what happens when you call a fax line.   I also have a high pitch police whistle.  I can be mean..

Any way   I did install a memory monitor and watching the fan temperature do its thing. Man it gets hot in there , 125?

"It's not nice to mess with Weatheraardvark!" :o

We still have a FAX machine. My wife is a national officer for a large volunteer organization. She occasionally needs to receive a FAX when we are not home. That means it's set to auto answer. I'm hoping that this Summer, when she steps down, we can totally eliminate that land line and the paper and toner wasting SPAM FAX's which far outnumber the real ones. I did print out a page with a totally black background and a bit of 'white' text and sent it back to a few of the SPAMmers. Of course, that just confirms our FAX number which they, in turn sell to others... [banghead]

BTW, I may not be around here much longer. I've got 4 or 5 calls from a fellow who says I am under some kind of court order that I should not ignore or the government will proceed with monetary claims against me. I'm sure he is an honest businessman, and simply trying to help me. [rockon] [cheer] I suspect, however, that I might need to speak with someone without an Asian accent if I am to understand clearly any instructions he might offer.

dfw, this has been a very interesting thread, glad you got it unlocked! [lol2]
