Backlight colours
« on: November 16, 2012, 05:55:10 PM »
So I noticed today I had a few consoles on my desk and it dawned on me that the backlights are all different colours! (i've honestly never noticed). Anyway, I thought it'd make a nice picture :)

(Apologies for the less than stellar photography - I'm no photographer :) )

State of the art a bit lagging (Re: Backlight colours)

Howdy Stu and WeatherCat fans,

So I noticed today I had a few consoles on my desk and it dawned on me that the backlights are all different colours! (i've honestly never noticed). Anyway, I thought it'd make a nice picture :)

Actually the picture is interesting beyond the colors because it gives an idea of what is the "state of the art" for these consoles.  Compared to say an iPad, the state of the art seems relatively primitive.  I wonder how long it will take for nice LCD displays to move beyond tablets and into mundane devices like this.

Thanks for sharing Stu!

Cheers, Edouard  [cheers1]
