I am considering becoming an Apple Watch owner because I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and I like the new hardware.

The ceramic version, Blick? Pictures look pretty sweet although I haven't been to an Apple Store yet to look at one in the flesh.

Are you talking about the iWatch or trouser pockets?!

BTW, I offer a low cost 'money-burning-holes-in-pockets' service! Just send me your money and I will keep your pockets, no matter the type, free from scorch marks or burn holes! Call for details! Not available in Canada and some States (of Mind). Mention "WC" for a shipping discount!

And the United States = The Banana system

Ha ha ha. The Ceramic version looks pretty sweet and is about $8,000 less than the Gold one. However, in my opinion, a white watch belongs on the wrist of a woman, so that is not the one I am considering. I'm just looking at entry level.

Till now I never felt a need of this toy. Ceramic? Looks pretty good. GPS inside? Help me not to go weak.

Ok, Aluminium.  [cheers1]

Help me not to go weak.

Weakness is permissible, in fact, encouraged in the realm of technological devices. Go weak.

Grand:

Just gave this a test drive on a Series 2. Works as advertised. Thanks.

Almost. We had or first snowfall of the season and awoke to 5 inches of white stuff on the ground this morning. [snow]

I have this up and running on both an iPhone 5s and an Apple watch 2.  Works as explained on local network (when I am on WiFi at home).  Not clear how to query the weather station when I am out and about, but that likely has to do with setting it up to be exposed to the web, which I don't think I have done.

This is set in the WeatherCat for iPhone Settings:
- Open WeatherCat for iPhone
- Tap "Settings" in the upper-right corner.
- Select Network - Internet 1 or Internet 2
- Enter the url for your WeatherCat server.

Port Forwarding must be enabled on your router. See WeatherCat Clients in the WeatherCat Wiki (wiki.trixology.com) for information on how to do that.
You will also need a static IP address or a DYN address (like trixology-test.dyndns.org) for the computer running WeatherCat.

You can leave the Setting on Internet 1 or 2 all the time. If you are home, WeatherCat/iPhone will find your local server. When away from home, WeatherCat/iPhone will use the Internet to access your server.

Congrats ETA51. I am currently using a DNS service on my iPhone and the direct static IP address on my iPad so either way works fine.

You made my day! Please consider putting your praise in a review for WeatherCat/iPhone at the Apple iTunes Store if you haven't done so already. :)
