Hi,
I have a late 2009 Mac mini(2.26 GHz Core Duo, 4Gigs of ram) running 10.11.6 (el Capitan) that I am going to dedicate to my new Davis Vantage Pro 2 station. Should I update the OS to a later version? What version of WC should I use?
I am looking for reliability. ThU32:-)

Hi,
10.11.6 is the latest version of macOSX that is supported in your mac mini.
Latest version of WeatherCat runs perfectly with 10.11.6! [tup]

Cabut:
As ICCB stated, you are already running the most recent version of the operating system that your hardware supports.
As for Weather Cat, you could run 2.4.4 but I agree with him. There is no reason not to go to the latest release of 3.x

Hi
Not sure if the mini is 64 bit. Does it have to be to run 3.01?
Not too tech savvy here😊
Thanks,

Not sure if the mini is 64 bit.
Check this list (https://everymac.com/mac-answers/snow-leopard-mac-os-x-faq/mac-os-x-snow-leopard-64-bit-macs-64-bit-efi-boot-in-64-bit-mode.html), but it appears to confirm you probably do have a 64 bit cpu. You'll need to confirm which cpu you have but the About this Mac... will show that.

Thanks, Xair. It is 64 bit.

You'll like the new features in WC 3x. Let us know how this goes.
