On Saturday (2017 01 21) we trained an avalanche rescue with Helicopter support in high regions (3.200 meters above sea level). Perfect weather, perfect conditions!  The left one on avalanche_3 is me.

Thanks for sharing!  You definitely do keep yourself fit and ready for action!

  . . . . . But wait a minute!  Your training exercise forgot one very important participant - the avalanches!  How do you expect them to cooperate if they don't get a chance to train too! . . . . . .

I've never thought being in under in a huge, shape-changing, moving object was particularly safe... I've seen too much of what happens to mountains when the glacier reaches the end of its journey. It's not a pretty site or sight!

OTOH, I do appreciate your training to help others!
