Without traveling to South America!
Although that can be an interesting trip, the eclipse is supposed to be streamed live at Exploratorium (https://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse?utm_source=npr_newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=20190702&utm_campaign=news&utm_term=nprnews&utm_id=1982930) starting at 4pm, EST. Don't forget to wear your Solar Eclipse glasses! [lol]

Well, I missed it, but apparently there will be a replay posted at the same link shortly. So if you can spare the time, you can still enjoy it from the comfort of your favorite streaming device.
Cheers, Edouard [cheers1]

I think the next "local" one will be in 2024. It will actually cross the path of the 2017 eclipse that went from Oregon to South Carolina. That one went over Carbondale, IL. It will cross that town again in April, 2024!! Both are about 100 miles from my location. In 2017, we went to my Sister-in-Law's home; free room & board! I'm now searching for family in Carbondale! ThU32:-) [lol]

The next one's center passes two miles north of me. Ought to be good viewing from my own back yard, except it will no doubt be cloudy.

No doubt! However, I would need to have access to your 'room & board' for at least 2 nights... I am hoping for a location a bit closer to Memphis (hint, hint). cmu:-) What's that saying about "Beggars and ..."? [blush]
