Dear WeatherCat extreme weather watchers
(preferably from a safe distance!)The Eastern Pacific has been surprisingly good at giving birth to tropical storms this early in the season.
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/?epacTropical storm Eugene just weakened to below storm category while there is a new tropical storm: Fernanda. While these storms rarely do much harm to people, they do contribute to the monsoonal flow. There was some concern that Eugene might spin some clouds toward the west coast of the United States. That seems unlikely now, but perhaps Fernanda will provide some additional rainfall for the deserts of the Southwest.
Cheers, Edouard
