Firstly I am writing on behalf of my husband who has  been a keen WeatherCat user for some years now. Unfortunately late last year he started to lose his sight. So Weather wasn't the highest priority then. WeatherCat crashed back in November and would not load, it crashed on loading every time. At that point he gave up because he couldn't see. That was on the previous Mac system prior to Sonoma, which we are now using.
I am now trying to get things working for him.
When I tried to open WeatherCat today it said, this is damaged so move it to the bin. So I downloaded WeatherCat3 and it just says, "Waiting for weather data to become ready." The weather station is plugged in. If I go to Settings it appears to have the correct information in there i.e. the station name and latitude and longitude etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated to get this going for my husband.

How about adding integrated support for ONIF and/or RTSP cameras?

Thanks guys!

Next one in my region is in Northern Spain on 12 August 2026.

The next on here in Ohio is a couple of days before my 146th birthday in 2099. Hopefully they’ll let me out of the nursing home! 🤪

Beautiful photos Steve - thanks for sharing.

I recall the total eclips in France in 1999 - it was breathtaking.
Next one in my region is in Northern Spain on 12 August 2026. Summer holiday planning has started early... :)

Awesome post, Steve. I love the solar flares in the photos. We had 40-something % eclipsing here and I had a very slight temperature drop at the maximum partial eclipse.

I am still using GoDaddy with cPanel and it is definitely using FTP. My plan is called Web Hosting Economy. I had a different plan at first but found it was using SFTP so GoDaddy switched it out for me.

Your other question about moving WeatherCat from one Mac to another is answered in the WeatherCar Wiki:

Observations / 2024 Eclipse Temperature Observation

Now that all of the #Eclipse2024 hoopla is over, here's a bit of data that was suggested by one of my Facebook followers. We were about three miles from dead center here at home, with 3 minutes and 52 seconds of totality.

Here’s every two minutes from 2:00 to 4:30, with a high of 73.3°F and a low of 63.2°F. A swing of 10.1°F

It was pretty amazing to watch! I was hoping for fewer clouds, as they caused my photos to be a bit hazy.

WeatherCat Feature Requests / Re: SFTP and/or PHP Uploads

Hi folks,
I am not sure if my Godaddy Cpanel might be using SFTP. Just read about what Edouard wrote about a trick for FTP uploading using Forklift. It seems not too complicated and not so costly. Is anyone using it? One problem I would have is that my Weathercat is on an old Mac. Can someone guide me as to how to get WC onto my newer Mac?
Regards to all,
Irving
