You can ignore the disable AppNap checkbox now; it switches AppNap off for itself when it launches.

It seems that I have a problem with this release losing connection to CWOP.  It starts up fine from cold start but after awhile stops sending the reports over.  Never saw this before in the previous versions.  Unless CWOP has an issue i would say its something fishy in this release.  If I quit and restart the Cat it works for awhile then dies again some time later.

I had some time today so I finally updated my weather computer to Mavericks and updated to this version.  All is working well on my Hackintosh.

No CWOP changes Rasari, the only change in this release was for AppNap (what OS are you running - it might be another AppNap issue if running 10.9.1 - try disabling it in the Finder).

thanks
I'm still on 10.8.5 -- That would be Snow Leopard I think.
When it stops it goes back to Waiting to Start in the Status Window.  If I go to preferences and look at the settings even though it was running and it uploaded successfully a number of times, it shows reports sent 0 and acknowledgments 0 --- seems like it dies  But the status also shows the uptime as correct so the whole program didn't restart only the CWOP thinks it did.  Very odd.
If I stop the CWOP and start is again it says running but never try's to upload and never shows up in the logs.
The only way to get it working again is to quit WeatherCat and start it backup.  Then CWOP will work for awhile then stop.

Hi Rasari
Sounds like your preference file for WeatherCat is corrupted might want to replaced it if you have a back or thrash it and put all your information back but quit WeatherCat first

hope this helps

cheers

Plenty of backups to choose from, what is the name of the file and what is the name?  I can replace it with an older version.

Thanks

~/Library/Preferences/com.trixology.weathercat.plist (where ~ is your home directory).

I'd recommend renaming your existing file, rebooting then launching WeatherCat (whereupon a new file will be created with all settings back to defaults), this avoids the issue of restoring a potentially already corrupt file.

Before you do this, note any settings you don't immediately have to hand/know so you can reenter them when it boots with the fresh settings.

Hi Rasarisi:

10.8.5 is Mountain Lion. I'm running on 10.8.5 (for a few more days) and have had no CWOP issues at all, so I think Stu's suggestion of renaming, rebooting and relaunching is the way to go. Let us know what happens.

I rebooted the Mac Pro and this started working again.  I didn't delete the preferences or default them, just rebooted.

Glad you are back up and running. A 'Cat reboot can solve a lot of things.
